I can't wait
The bathroom project is finally finished. Yippee! We had to remove the toilet again, sand down the plywood flooring (it had been drying), cut the tiles, apply adhesive and put the new tiles in place. I stayed up late waiting for the adhesive to be tacky and not sticky, and in the morning the toilet was reinstalled. Which was good, because JT's little training potty is not really big enough for big folks. Trust me on that.
And besides that project, JT and JK spent some male bonding time together (exploring a local canyon and trainspotting), giving me time to make some granola again, start a pair of shorts for the kid, watch a Sunday-matinee-movie on TV, and veg some in my jammies.
Lately, this kid has been all questions. Today he wanted to know what would happen to a lizard if you dropped various size rocks on it. And what is a lie? Yesterday he wanted to know what birds do when it rains and in winter. And how do baby birds keep warm in the winter - do the mama birds put them under their rear ends? He determined that they snuggle under their parents' wings. And if the mama bird dies, then the papa bird keeps the baby company.
And then there is this: I can't wait. He can't wait for breakfast, for reading, for tomorrow... and so on. He just can't wait!
