Pumpkin Time

JT is excited that it is almost Halloween. He already has the "Halloween, Halloween, what does it mean?" song down. (He loves to make up his own words for what it could mean. Mostly it means candy and treats but also ghosts and costumes.) He had a breakthrough at the pool - he can finally blow bubbles! I guess I just shouldn't try and rush him; he has his own schedule. His schedule includes not wearing diapers to bed. "I will stay dry," he promises. A few nights ago we tried, and he even woke up to go in the middle of the night, but somehow he didn't wake up early enough in the morning. So the mattress had a little visit to the driveway to sun/air out. So we went back to the pull-ups, and he stayed dry several nights. He is trying again tonight.
He also learned "stop-drop-and-roll" at school. For some reason, he thinks it starts with "stand up" and then drop. He had to teach it to JK. Must be an American fire thing.

what does halloween mean? my prof has canceled class that night so he can take his kids out. i'm happy because i can be home to hand out treats this year. i think there are more kids in the neighborhood each year, so it's nice to be home. anyhow, sounds like JT is scheduling some good things there.

Halloween is short for hallowed evening (hallowe'en is the old spelling), in case you didn't know. You know, when I first met you, I thought JT was very cute, but somehow he just keeps getting cuter! How does he do that?!

That is one impressive pumpkin picture.

We had to go out and buy Wee Sing Halloween yesterday on CD because our tape player is broken.
