We've been eating outside all week (this photo is from Sunday evening, I think), since it is sweltering hot here. Monday morning (I think, again, my brain has melted), there was a miracle here - it rained.
Of course, the rain only lasted 5 minutes, but it was such a nice refreshing sight. Then it was hot again by the afternoon. Although, this heat is much preferable to hurricanes, so, maybe I should stop complaining. Now, does anyone know where I put my checkbook?

It is a good thing you photographed the rain and someone in all the gear to wear in the rain, or who would have believed?

hmm it's definitely turned to fall here, we were contemplating when to switch the heater on. sadly, there are still way too many mosquitoes to be outside for any length of time without bathing in bug spray first.
i don't think our rosemary is sturdy enough to serve as a skewer, but that does seem really tasty.
