Enough Already!

I'm done with age 2. Can it be over now?
Yesterday we had a pretty nice day at Seaworld, although JT refused to play with his friends (it was his friend's birthday party). At least he was good about sitting still for lunch and waiting for the pet show. Then he napped in the car while I went to TJs. Then there was a bad turn: when he woke up he cried inconsolably for over an hour. Later he refused to go to bed. Tonight he refused to nap and also refused to go to bed. (He even insisted on picking out his socks to get dressed! "I wake up!")
Still, he's cute. For once he was good about eating and didn't complain too much about proper cutlery (although I had to feed him!): 4 pancakes with blackberries and yogurt, a pb&j sandwich, grapes, crackers, sorbet with chocolate cats and marshmellows (with papa), 1 1/2 servings of macaroni with spinach, two mini-corn dogs, a piece of cheese, a piece of cucumber, yogurt with honey, and maybe some other things that I don't know about.
This afternoon he said he loves "mama, papa, grandma, grandpa, stephanie, and ms. pam." But later he claimed that only mama and papa love him and when pressed who else loves him: "Nobody." Poor kid. Posted by Picasa

Hoo boy. I can absolutely leave the "refusal to go to bed" thing. Mommy needs a break, dude!

Here's to only 12 more months. Of course, my friend described 3 as "the terrible twos with a year of experience." Good times.

I was going to post the same thing about age 3 being worse. Let's hope not!
