Before Sunset

Today JT had his first egg yolk with cheese on pita bread. (Ok, so when he ate it, it was little pieces of all three.) He also had fun playing at the playground - even though there were no other kids there today. I guess their moms were in class or off doing exciting things.

JT's left top tooth is starting to poke through. Perhaps this explains why he went to bed last night at 9 and got up again at 10. He didn't go back to sleep until I let him watch Nightline with Ted Koppel. He went to bed tonight at 8:30 and now he is up and about again (it's almost 10). Maybe he thought he was taking a nap.

Tonight was pizza and movie night. We watched "Before Sunset," a sequel to "Before Sunrise," which took place in Vienna. This one took place in Paris. I give it a thumbs down, for unrealistic age-inappropriate dialogue, general cheesiness and Ethan Hawke's skinniness, but the female character's apartment was nice. JK says the first time he saw it he liked it, but now it gets a so-so rating. So, probably not worth queuing on Netflix.

By the way, this blog is semi-anonymous at the moment. Just in case you were wondering about the initials. We hardly ever call JT "JT" and we never call JK "JK". And Chris maybe isn't even my real name, but if you recognize us in the pictures, then this is all moot.

Some of Burli's favorite activities:
Tossing the laundry out of the basket.
Taking all the cd's out of the cd holder (aka a shoe box).
Taking all the books off his shelf.
Looking through his books until he finds the picture of the kitties.
Throwing apples over the gate into the kitchen when mama is trying to wash the dishes.
Swinging on the swing or throwing woodchips at the playground. (He always squeals when I lift him out of the stoller when we get there.)
Taking apart his toilet. (No, he doesn't use it as a toilet yet.)

Top tooth first! LT got the bottom teeth first. I had no idea they came in different orders.
