The flooring arrived. We moved the appliances into the dining room (again).
Oops, can't start on the floor yet, have to get out the tools and do some plumbing work.
The floor boards had been cut out in a square under the fridge, causing the tile there to crack (uneven floor + no backerboard = not good for ceramic tile). Opening up, it was hard to say why it been cut open in the first place.
But while it was open, Mr. Burli re-routed the hot water - so now if we want hot water in the kitchen it goes directly from the hot water heater (outside the door) instead of being routed first to the small bathroom shower and back again (an extra 12 feet).
Back to work, laying out the underlayment.
Making the first cuts. (He said the jigsaw actually works best.)
We have several wierd corners.
Looking good.
Kid-tested and approved! (Hopefully the rest will be done... oh, in a week or so - I had to go to the laundrymat yesterday. It was $2.25 to wash one load. I had no idea and packed too few quarters. Luckily the change drawer in the car was full!
