Black Radish

Okay, so I decided to roast the yellow beets for a salad with arugula, walnuts and goat cheese. And then I thought I would roast that black beet... but it smelled like a radish and was white inside. Heck, I'll roast it anyways, I thought, but while it was roasting, I googled. It is a Spanish radish, and yes, you can roast radishes. I still didn't like either one, though. I am not fond of radishes or beets. Oh well.

Beets can't be that bad if you copiously cover them with goat cheese, can they?

I roasted radishes on the same baking sheet with asparagus a month ago and oh, boy, soooo yucky that I could hardly look at a radish for a while; we finally had half of one in a salad last weekend. Maybe a black spanish one would roast better...the beets would be delicious to me!
