Weekend Wrapup

Thanks, Mr. Burli for posting three dots last night. I started to write something, but then I was called into kid duty. JT had been in bed for an hour and still wasn't sleeping (silly us for letting him take a 1/2 hour nap), so I had to keep him company till he fell asleep. He is quite excited that this week is Spring Break, and with the 80-degree weather we are having, it feels like Summer!
Each day seems to bring more stress into my life (which should be carefree and all butterflies now, right?), so here is the weekend wrap-up.

Saturday: In the morning, we made a Sachertorte (my late birthday cake), then we attended a sibling class for JT. Wow, he LOVED it. He was so excited to go and was brave and told the teacher his name and how old he was, raised his hand to answer questions and even volunteered to show where a poky part on a toy was. It was pretty amazing, since usually he just picks his lip and buries his head in my legs. My favorite part was when the teacher asked who had seen a baby before and he raised his hand. "I saw a baby at the hospital when I went on a tour." (What was it doing, the teacher asked, although what she was expecting as a response, I am not sure, because what could it have done, really?) "It had its eyes open and it cried." Then he continued, "And it rolled over and fell onto the floor." I have to admit, I thought this was quite funny, but the other parents looked a little concerned. Later he said that he didn't have time to tell her he was just pretending this, it was in his imagination.

Then we went to a late lunch and had flaming cheese, came home, I attempted to rest and then went over to some friends'.

Sunday: my friend H held a baby shower for me and for my other friend E whose baby is due in about 3 weeks. It was great to just have some time for talking without little ears listening, eating some good food, and we also decorated some onesies. Then I met the boys at the frozen yogurt place - they had been out doing some train-related activities with E's husband and son.

Then we put together some packing boxes out of the garage and I packed up three boxes of books. Only mazillions more to go. And finally we got to the birthday cake:

So now everyone knows how old I am!

I was concerned when it was a three dot weekend, so I am glad to hear you had some adventures. It fell--hmm, I can feel the tension of the first-timers, but it was an imaginative answer. And how nice to hear about the shower.
Three boxes and counting! It may be a hassle, but I think you will enjoy the result.
I hope you can relax to enjoy the relatives! You all are looking good in the pictures.
love, momsie
