Working at the Public Library...

...you get to overhear some interesting conversations.

An elderly man and woman were sitting near the magazines. The woman was reading "a gory book" and they occasionally stopped reading to discuss where they might want to eat lunch. (it was 10:30.)

where do you want to eat?
well, where have you been?
i don't remember.
everywhere.
we could, you know the chicken pie, no i mean
we could go there.
no, you wouldn't want to go. the kfc.
we can go there.
i always get tacos.
i've never had tacos.
well, you know it is kfc and taco bell together.
i've never had tacos, what are they?
just a taco.
what is in a taco?
meat, lettuce, a little bit of tomato and cheese and if they put it on, sour cream, but half the time they don't.
part-time help, no quality control. ... what is that greek sandwich? a meat sandwich. ... the greek restaurant in that area.
i don't know. ... you decide. you surprise me.
no, you decide.

Then they left. I hope they remembered to get something to eat. Maybe the man will eat his first ever taco.

The really sad thing about that conversation is that it sounds like a conversation I might have had with my hubby once or twice :P

How can you live in San Diego and never have had a taco? Mind-boggling! :D
