Tiny started preschool Tuesday. He is such a pro. No crying, no problem. He loves it. According to him, they have more playtime than at Angie's (his home daycare before). I am so glad the transition went well and that his time at Angie's helped prepare him!

JT went back the week before. 2nd grade! The first week he complained that he no longer has enough time to play Legos and read since he has to go to school. I complained because they sent homework home the first week of school (WHAT?!). At least this week's homework was somewhat more interesting - Mr. Burli and I had to write a poem. (The results are below. And yes, there was a template. And this was actually a difficult assignment because the kids have to read it aloud to the class! How much should you brag? How truthful should you be? I did warn him that I might include "He hates to clean up his Legos." But I didn't.)

The important thing about JT* is that he is creative and caring.
It is true that he is a good reader.
He enjoys spending time with his family and his best friend Louie.
He creates all kinds of new Lego designs.
He likes the ocean and loves to boogie board.
He is an excellent chess player.
And he loves his brother, Tiny.*
But the important thing about JT is that he is creative and caring.
*I didn't use the pseudonyms in the actual poem, in case you wondered...
