Family

On June 13th, one of the doves (female?) was still sitting tight in the nest and I was starting to worry that her brooding was going to be in vain.

Then two days later, I realized that there were two babies in the nest. Tweetie and Tweetums. Or maybe it is Tweeter and Twettette? We make new names up each day.

We spent Father's Day at Seaworld.

Man, those birds are growing up quickly.

This little bird found a new hobby - painting. He squeezes the paint out in pools onto the palette and loads up the paintbrush.

Back to the birds again...

And now we have company! Grandma and grandpa are here for a visit. The kids just love their grandparents!

JT finished first grade today, so he missed out on seeing the ships yesterday.

Grandpa has been recovering from some of his adventures globetrotting. Last week he was in Europe and Egypt.

Another bird update soon!

that's so neat about bird 1 and bird 2! are you using a zoom, or is mama bird just so used to the comings and goings that you can snap photos? and does that make you bird paparazzi? (also, yay for visiting grandparents!)

Interesting blog! I enjoy the update. Your bird experience is simular to the one Janet had with the humming bird.
