One old potato from the cupboard yielded three nice-looking potatoes. (Wonder how they'll taste?) I have to admit, this was one of the funnest growing-experiments so far. I wasn't expecting much when I buried the potato, then I saw some green things coming up and had already forgotten about the potato. After I realized what it was, I kept it watered and threw on some compost. Now the pumpkins were overtaking this one, so I dug it up and it was so strange to find these potatoes just lying in the soil, not really connected to anything. As if they magically appeared! Now I can't wait to try blue potatoes, sweet potatoes, ...
Onions are coming along. But I am not sure this will dry completely.
Thank-you for all the birthday presents! Tiny shared some cars with JT, Mr. Burli grilled up some veggies in the wok, and we read the books several times each.

that's tough work - burying mr. burli's lower half! good thing there's a team of shovelers. :)
and really, you grew 3 potatoes from 1? i have medium-high hopes for my sweet potato plants now, but only medium-high because i don't really like sweet potatoes.
Mr. Burli is such a good sport. The beach looks gorgeous. I would like to go to the beach. Now that it's stinking hot again here everyone will probably be there next weekend. Glad you liked the presents!
