Timmelsjoch and Baptism

More pictures! Tiny is resting, JT is designing a new spa and the grandparents are also napping before we head off to a castle.
We took the Timmelsjoch pass road over the mountains from Tirol into Italy. It is only open in Summer, and there was still snow at the top. The views were breathtaking and so was the curvy, narrow road!

Sunday was Tiny's baptism. He cried the whole time and was hot and sweaty and then had water poured in his eyes. Not quite a calamity, but a stressful situation. (Mr. Burli had to deal with various relatives grumbling about the short notice, but this was the only day the priest was available.)
We all went out to eat at Karawankenblick, which was nice. However, it was also stressful for me because it was muggy in the restaurant and the older women insisted that we have the windows closed, my dress kept slipping down and exposing my nursing bra meaning I had to wear my sweater, and I couldn't even nurse the baby since I would have had to take the top of the dress down and that would have been an eyeful for the older folks! JT also refused to eat his food - again. 5 years old is apparently a big pain in the rear! (See also: mumbling while talking to adults who are hard of hearing, shaking hands with his left hand, generally being bored all the time, crying when the dessert he orders isn't just what he wanted, whining, etc.) While we were there (and I was wishing we were sitting outside so the kids could have just played on the playground), there was a crazy brief wind and rainstorm, but then it was sunny again, so we headed back to Oma's for some outdoor fun.
And a nap...
As long as the kids keep cooperating, I will be able to post more. Opa has his computer up and running in his bedroom and surfs around the internet, too. If I weren't running around like a chicken with its head cut off most of the time - there is a pool set up in the backyard so I have to make sure Tiny doesn't climb in, the stove controls are on the front of the stove, there is also a wood-burning stove in the kitchen at the farmhouse, there are breakables, poisons and sharp items in the lower cupboards, and generally it is not kid-proof - then I would be resting in the hammock myself!

I'm sure the Oma and Opa are enjoying having you and the boys there with them. How much time does Seppi have to spend in Poland?

Nice pics of scenery and family! Your two balls of energy surely changed the dynamics of the homeplace and are hopefully making good memories.
JT is getting so tall! He must be getting something nutritous. And overall Tiny seems to be enjoying the adventure. An explorer, eh?
Mothering never goes on vacation, but maybe you'll get a bit of respite soon. Enjoy--some days don't really last forever and some even go too fast!
I know Mr Burli will be glad to get back, but what a good opportunity for a direct business contact.
How did you order such beautiful weather? Our north Georgia trip was nice, but hearing/seeing your adventures has me hoping for another trip! (Maybe even with 2, or 4, beautiful grandsons! Ready grandpa?) love, momsie

Could it be any more picturesque? Did you guys actually ride in that yellow bus?

Sorry the boys are being a handful and you aren't getting to relaxing. Maybe time to head back to one of the spas with free babysitting? :)
