According to JT, he knows only three main people: the beard guy, the milk machine and the kissing machine. I also overheard JT singing Edelweiss to him to calm him down, explaining to him an invention which would be a large machine with many nipples coming down for many babies to get milk all at the same time, and have seen him piling up toys around him to amuse him.
So, in honor of three months and the end of the forth trimester, here is a letter to the little fellow.
Dear Tiny,
After your brother was born, I wasn't sure that he was going to have siblings. It was simply a lot of adjusting. However, since you were born, I have (gasp!) entertained the idea of having three children. But don't worry, unless we win the lottery, you will most likely remain the only little brother.
The big brother in the household just LOVES his little one. He can't stop kissing and hugging you and gets very jealous when other people are holding you and he isn't. (Okay, so maybe he is a little jealous of their attention, but he displays it in a nice way, crying that he wanted to hold his brother, too.)
You are growing so quickly, and it makes me a little weepy.
At the beginning of your fourth month you are already wearing size 2 diapers and size 6 month clothes. Your legs are sweet and chubby and you are laugh when I pull your shirt over your head.
You can already roll onto your side. You can also scoot around the floor on your back, although when your head lands on the hardwood floor, you cry. You love to slurp your fingers - as many as possible - or suck your thumb. You sometimes sleep 5 or 6 hours at night (thanks - keep that up!). You have a little cowlick and almost a widow's peak and it looks like you will have brown hair.
In any case, I am so glad you have come into our world!
Love, Mama, aka "the milk machine"
Tune in later this week for an update on our house projects!
