Oh, the Places You'll Go...

Who doesn't love Dr. Seuss...A Poem for Preschool (with apologies to Theodor Geisel)

Oh, JT, the places you'll go...
You'll go into tunnels, and down a big slide,
You'll run and you'll walk and you'll hustle inside.
You are almost two years old!
You've got places to be.
You love to sing and dance,
And count one, two, and three!

This week you start school,
With all of your friends,
Don't worry or fret,
Its the beginning -not the end!
Its the start of new things
Its an adventure for you,
You'll learn lots of new stuff
And your parents will too.
We'll do it together,
Mama, Papa, and boy
So put on a smile
And get ready to enjoy!

[This sculpture (yes, that is my mother) is over by the UCSD Geisel Library (below), where, if you look closely, you can see two huge bird nests. Crows?]

congrats to JT on going to school -
that is really exciting and rather quite cool!

The nests are right above the lowest set of windows, but since I couldn't click on the picture to enlarge it, maybe no one can see them!

I think the school will be fun - they let the kids do all sorts of messy and fun stuff!
