JT now will fall asleep on his own after nursing. Of course, I still have to stay at the end of the bed, and it takes him quite a few minutes of tossing and turning and saying night-night to various things in his bed before he actually submits. Tonight he selected his chicken and the cat to hold while sleeping, and I risked taking a picture. (The cat had already fallen out of his hand.) Last night it was the soft ball that cousin BLT gave him for his birthday.

Awesome! BLT will not go to sleep in his bed like that. We are trying - he will lay there while I read books, but then he gets up and wants to be rocked. Oh well, it's nice to cuddle anyways. He doesn't really nurse to sleep anymore before bed - he nurses, but not to sleep. He has a lot of stall tactics mostly being "Book, book, book."
I guess since we don't have a comfy rocking chair in our room, he has to be satisfied with the bed on the floor. :)
Tonight it took almost 30 minutes of squirming before he finally feel asleep half on top of me and holding the ball again.
