This weekend we went to the Wild Animal Park to see the "Holiday" lights. JT rode in his new backpack, JK's early Christmas present from me. We are busy doing the Christmas stuff - trying to bake cookies (I made the dough tonight and as I was wrapping it up in plastic wrap I couldn't decide if I'd added enough flour, but I guess I will find out when I try to roll it out tomorrow), writing cards, shopping, coming up with a New Year's plan, etc. Busy. Plus JT has a lot of energy. We joke that he was switched at birth and some other parents are wondering why our lathargic baby isn't getting into their activities like skydiving, saving the world, knitting a hat a day, sewing baby clothes and homemade diapers, whipping up gormet 3 course baby food meals using all natural organic ingredients, etc.JT's latest trick: he likes to push his plastic Elmo guitar around the room. He did this for 3 hours (not in a row) today.
Tonight we are up so late that I am watching David Letterman. It is the first time in about 5 years. My dad used to look just like Letterman, but my dad has much bushier hair and is not quite as thin and lanky. My mom was at BSU at the same time as Letterman, by the way.
