Six

Six. He is big. He reads entire books in one go. He can build a Lego set and play with it and the next day dismantle it and reassemble the pieces into his own creation. He helps his little brother get down from the bed and sleeps on the top bunk. He goes to school and reports home that he has made a new friend. I see the pictures and the boys have their arms flung around each other and their heads tilted inward as if they are explaining to each other the way the world works. He is also little. He still loves to cuddle and have chapters read to him and refuses to practice writing and nearly always makes a backwards J. He is creative and imaginative and caring and thoughtful. Sometimes a little exasperating, but mostly he is very sweet.
