I wonder what life will be like when the kids grow up. Will there be more violence, unrest, environmental changes in their adult world (shootings in Colorado, Syrian uprising, drought across the country)? I sometimes feel a little worried that the world they inherit is not so nice, but there are many happy moments. They will remember the good times with their grandma, for example. She was here about 10 days, which was too short!
We had some good food - here we have eggs on pizza.
Seaworld - Atlantis. Don't sit in the second row on the right - I got soaked.
Stingrays. They are perpetually smiling.
JT and Grandma on Shipwreck Rapids.
Found this bird while they waited in line (almost an hour) for Manta.

Yes,the good times will always be remembered! There are a store of those in my memory bank. Miss you all.
Love, GmaH
will it be worse or just different? i read Unbroken for the bookclub, and, well, i do not think i would have survived what he did during WWII. (then again, i will also never come close to a 4 minute mile nor have the chutzpah to steal Hitler's flag during the '36 Olympics!) i think all we can do is be cognizant of the things around us, make a difference where we can, and truly enjoy the moment.
Yes, I am very thankful for lots of good times with you all these past busy days! Enjoy the rest of the summer as you make more memories with family and friends. Love you all!
Grandma & gpa too!
Looks like a great time with Grandma!
I will agree with Jenn. I also read that book and many horrific things were ongoing. I'm reading a (fiction) book now about WW1 and so many awful things were going on. Trench warfare was just horrible.
